Dev, Panshul, Snigdha,Shalvi qualify for main draw at MSLTA Deccan Gymkhana Asia Oceania B1 Junior Tennis Championships  
 
Pune, April 19, 2026:  Four Indians Dev Patel, Panshul Uboveja. Snigdha Kanta , and Shalvi Dalal qualified for the main draw of the boys and the girls singles at 
the MSLTA Deccan Gymkhana Asia Oceania B1 Junior Tennis Championships organized by Maharashtra State Lawn tennis Association and Deccan Gymkhana in association with PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on theDeccan Gymkhana tennis courts
 
In the third and final round qualifying  third seeded Dev Patel  stopped Ribhav Saroha  6-1, 6-4 , while  Panshul Uboveja registered a 6-2,6-2 win over Varad Undre in all Indian contests 
 
Har Abir Sekhon of Australia and Sungmin Lee of Korea also made it to the main draw in the boys event.
 
 
In the girls final round  top seed Snighda Kanta stopped  Savitha Bhuvaneswaran 6-1, 6-2 , while  fifth seeded Shaivi Dalal registered a 6-4,6-0 win over Meha Patil.
Second seed Rei Miyamoto and 
Misaki Sekido both of Japan also made it to the main draw

Japanese players lead boys and girls ranking list, local boy Paparkar seeded second
 
 
World no 46 Hyu Kawanishi of Japan and world no 81 RiyoYoshida of Japan will lead the seeding list in the boys and the girls main draw which gets underway from Monday , Local Boy Arnav Paparkar who won the J200 event at Malaysia today will be ranked No 2 in the boys section 
 
Nineteen Indian players will feature in the Main draw of the prestigious event which has been allotted to India by the Asian Tennis Federation after a gap of 5 years.
