Good opportunity for Indian players at MSLTA 25K Mens ITF Tennis Tournament

 

Mumbai, March 16, 2026:  Indian players will have a opportunity to redeem themselves at the  $25000 Mens ITF tennis championships organized by  Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and played at the Dr GA Ranade Tennis Centre from tomorrow 

 

In the final round qualifying thirteenth seeded Stijn Pel of Netherland upset second seeded Van Herzeele James of Thailand  7-6(3), 6-3, Aniketh Venkatraman stopped experienced Vishnu Vardhan(4)(Ind)4-6, 6-1, 10-5 while tenth seeded 

Arjun Rathi scraped past third seeded Rohan Mehra 4-6, 7-6(4), 10-5 

 

Eleventh seed Udit Kamboj toppled seventh seed Kabir Hans 7-5, 6-1 while 

Tarun Karra played solidly to get past Russian Ianin Nikita 7-5, 6-4 and qualify for the main draw.

 

The Hon Secretary of the MSLTA Sunder Iyer informed that top Men's tennis  players will be seen in action at the event  this event is part of the 3 Men’s ITF event in a row hosted by AITA  third year in a row , which will also give opportunity to Indian players to earn valuable prize money and ATP Points

 

Mr Iyer also announced that  Raghav Jaisinghani, Caheer Waqik, Maan Kesharwani have been awarded the main draw wild cards

 

The winners of the event will get 50 ATP points  , the Runners Up 30 ATP points , Semifinalists  18  points , Quarterfinalists 9 points , Round of 0f 16  5 points  , Round of 32  1 points .   

 

Supreeth Kadavigere has been appointed as the ITF  Supervisor of the event, while Manoj Vaidya has been appointed the tournament director
