Qualifier Sonal Patil in second round at the Jamshri–Elysium Solapur Open 2025 $30,000 Women’s ITF Tennis Tournament
Solapur, December 23, 2025: Qualifier Sonal Patil of Kolhapur played solid tennis to come back from the loss of the first set and scrape past an inform Anjali Rathi 5-7, 7-6(8), 6-4 and enter the second round of the main draw at the Jamshri–Elysium Solapur Open 2025 $30,000 Women’s ITF Tennis Tournament which is being organized by Solapur District Lawn Tennis Association (SDLTA) in association with Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA), and sponsored by Oasis, Precision, Elysium–Jamshri and Balaji Amines.
In an all Japanese contest Michika Ozeki knocked out seventh seeded Hiroko Kuwata 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to register the first upset of the tournament.
The four main draw wildcards were given a lesson in tennis by their more experienced opponents Russain Vlada Mincheva proved too strong for the 16 year old Parthsarthi Mundhe winning 6-0, 6-2, Japanese Honoka Kobayashi blanked Pooja Ingale 6-1, 6-0 , Russian Ekaterina Yashina registered a 6-3, 6-4 win over Laalitya Kalluri while Kazak Aruzhan Sagandykova outhit Sahira Singh 6-3, 6-3 to move into the round of 16
