Sidhhi, Vishwak Clinch Double Crown in U-14 National Tennis
Sidhhi Pandey of Noida and Vishwak Reddy Gunnampally delivered commanding, performances to sweep both the singles and doubles titles at the MSLTA-NDHTA Under-14 All India Ranking National Series Tournament held in the auspicious of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association and All India Tennis Association conducted at MSLTA Tennis Academy, Nagpur.
In the girls' singles final, second seed Sidhhi showcased exceptional form, delivering her finest tennis of the tournament to overcome top seed Parinitha V in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0.
The boys' singles final saw a spirited contest between the top two seeds, as second seed Vishwak Reddy claimed the victory over top seed Aarav Chhallani. Vishwak secured a competitive first set 6-4, capitalizing on crucial opportunities. He then successfully elevated his own game in the second set, pulling ahead 6-0 to win the set and the Singles title.
In girls' doubles, Sidhhi teamed up with singles finalist Parinitha to form a powerhouse duo, defeating second seeds Falak Mehta and Shubhi Sharma 6-2, 6-2. The boys' doubles final was a gripping contest, with top seeds Aarav and Vishwak edging past second seeds Vir Chattur and Sparsh Patil 7-6( 8 ), 6-0. After a marathon first-set tiebreak that showcased the resilience of the runners-up, the champions returned stronger to take the second set.
Prizes and mementos were awarded to the winners and runners-up by Tournament Director Dr. Sudhir Bhiwapurkar and NDHTA Secretary Mr. Vijay Naidu. Tournament Referee Sejal Kenia also received a special acknowledgment for her efforts.
