Exciting Start to the MSLTA-CCI All India National Series U14 Tennis Tournament 2025

Mumbai, May 25, 2025 — The MSLTA - CCI All India Ranking National Series Under 14 Tennis Tournament 2025 began with great energy and excitement at the iconic Cricket Club of India (CCI). The tournament, running from 24^th to 31^st May, 2025, under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA, has drawn promising U14 tennis players from across the country.

The opening ceremony, held on Saturday, May 24, began with a traditional Indian coconut-breaking ritual. The ceremony was performed by Mr. Karmendra Minawala, a member of the CCI Tennis Committee, in the presence of CCI Members, Mr. Sachin Mahadik (Tournament Coordinator), and tournament officials.

Boys Qualifying Highlights

The boys’ qualifying draw delivered some early fireworks. Vihaan Bhatia stunned second seed Reyansh Bhalla, winning in straight sets. Ryota Takei from Japan impressed everyone with his straight-set victories, including a notable match against 12th seed Neil Baliga in the second round. Third seed Rivaan Parmar overcame a tough challenge from Shlok Kokare in a closely contested match. Another exciting match saw Kabir Mothe and Aryan Sahane battle it out in a thrilling encounter, with Kabir narrowly edging through in a match tie-break.

Girls Main Draw Action

In the girls' draw, the seeded players performed well, with Shazfa SK, Anika Nair, and Shanaya Singh moving forward confidently. Navinya Sanap fought back, battling from a set down to seize victory in a nail-biting decider.
