National champions Mundhe, Sarode, Undre, Shinde, Tripathi , Dhamne , Bhosale awarded  MSLTA  Excellence  Scholarships   

 

Mumbai, 25th March 2025: National Junior and sub junior champions from Maharashtra Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe, Raghav Sarode, Varad Undre, Prisha Shinde, and Laqshya Tripathi  alongside International players Manas Dhamne and Rutuja Bhosale , and  30 other players, Seven coaches, members of Maharashtra’s  Men’s and women’s teams were  awarded annual scholarships of over Rs 15 lakhs at The Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA)   Annual Scholarship Function  in Mumbai.

 

Maharashtra No. 1 players, including Asian Games Mixed Doubles Champion Rutuja Bhosale, Arnav Paparkar,  Aaradhya Mhasde, Manas Dhamne, Parthsarthi   Mundhe, Aarav Chhallani, Varad Undre , Aishwarya Jadhav, Shibani Gupte, Myra Shaikh, Aland Shlok, and Gargi Oak were honoured  for securing top positions in their respective age groups.

 

Parthsarthi Mundhe of Dharashiv (Osmanabad), was named the Most Outstanding Junior Player from Maharashtra for the year 2024.  Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association awarded   the Best performing District for the year 2024 for its outstanding contributions to the promotion of tennis in the region.

 

The awards ceremony was graced by, MSLTA President Mr. Prashant Sutar, MSLTA Chairman Mr. Bharat Oza, MSLTA Hon. Secretary Mr. Sunder Iyer, MSLTA Hon. Treasurer Mr. Sudhir Bhiwapurkar, and MSLTA Jt. Secretaries Mr. Rajiv Desai and Ms. Sheetal Bhosale, alongside MSLTA Council Members Mr. Ali Panjwani, Manik Mandlik, Fomer Internationals Gaurav Natekar and Arti Ponappa Natekar.

 

Maharashtra coaches Hemant Bendre, Sandeep Kirtane Kedar Shah, Ravindra Pandey, Partha Chivate, Yash Deshmukh,and Yash Pandit were awarded Cash prizes for producing national champions in the year 2024-25. Tennis officials Tejal Kulkarni and Dakshata Patel who successfully completed the ITF White Badge Referee and Umpires School in Malaysia and China were also felicitated on the occasion.

 

The members of the Maharashtra Women's Team that won a gold medal, and the Men's Team that secured a bronze at the 38th National Games at Uttarakhand were give Special Cash awards for their performances. The Women's Team included Akanksha Nitture, Vaishnavi Adkar, Pooja Ingale, and Sonal Paygonda Patil, , Mr. Sheetal Bhonsale (Manager), Rutuja Kulkarni (  Coach/Physio ). The Men's Team members included Prasad Ingale, Arnav Paparkar, Anup Bangargi, Sandesh Kurale, and Nishit Rahane, with Mr. Rajiv Desai ( Manager ) and Mr. Ketan Dhumal ( Coach ).

 

Maharashtra State Lawn tennis Association is the only state association in the country that recognises the collective contributions of players, coaches, and officials in advancing the sport and bringing continued success to Maharashtra, said Sunder Iyer the Hon Secretary of MSLTA. “We are proud of the achievers and celebrate their achievements which inspires them and other players from the state “, he added
