Bhosale, Dhamne, Paparkar, Jadhav, Mundhe, Gupte, Mhasde, Chhallani, Shaikh, Aland, Oak emerge State No 1 at MSLTA 2024-year end rankings

 

Mumbai, March 24: Maharashtra's top tennis talents have been recognized in the MSLTA 2024 Annual Rankings, with Rutuja Bhosale, Arnav Paparkar, and Aaradhya Mhasde emerging as the state’s No. 1 players. Alongside them, Manas Dhamne, Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe, Aarav Chhallani, and Varad Undre are among the leading Indian players. Other top-ranked players include Aishwarya Jadhav, Shibani Gupte, Myra Shaikh, Aland Shlok, and Gargi Oak, who all claimed No. 1 positions in their respective age groups.

 

In total, over 35 players, 7 coaches, Maharashtra 38th National Games men’s and women’s team members, the Best District, and MSLTA Masters finalists will be honored with awards worth Rs. 15 Lakhs.

 

National champions from Maharashtra which includes Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe, Raghav Sarode, and Varad Undre, Prisha Shinde and Laqshya Tripathi will also be felicitated.

 

MSLTA will also acknowledge Maharashtra’s 38th National Games Medal Winners Men’s and Women’s team members who represented the state at the National Games at Uttarakhand, MSLTA Masters winners and runners-up, and coaches producing national champions during their Annual Day celebrations in Mumbai on Sunday, 23rd March, 2025.

 

The Annual rankings of the Maharashtra State Lawn tennis Association for the year 2024 were announced by the Hon Secretary of MSLTA Sunder Iyer  , it is satisfying to see that players of Maharashtra are keeping the Indian flag high  and bringing laurels to the state and MSLTA .

 

Pune region took the honors by finishing with Six No 1 players in Maharashtra in 2024 which includes, Rutuja Bhosale (Womens Singles), Manas Dhamne (Mens singles), Arnav Paparkar (Boys Under 18 and 16), Shibani Gupte (Girls under 14) and Myra Shaikh (Girls under 12).

 

Solapur district took second place with 3 players rank 1 at the year end ranking Parthsarthi Mundhe - Girls under 16, she is also ranked 2nd in Girls under 14 and 3rd in Girls under 18, Aland Shlok (Boys under 10) and Oak Gargi (Girls under 10)

 

Kolhapur ‘s. Aishwarya Jadhav ranked 1 in the girls under 18 age category, Aaradhya Mhasde of Nashik is ranked 1 in the Boys under 14 and Aarav Chhallani  from Navi Mumbai ranked 1 in Boys under 12
