Smit Undre, Ritika Dawalkar win double crowns at MSLTA Deccan Gymkhana Mahatennis AITA series U-12 National Ranking Tennis Tournament
Pune,May 6,2022: Smit Undre of Pune and Ritika Dawalkar of Kolhapur won double crowns winning the singles and the doubles title at the MSLTA Deccan Gymkhana AITA National Ranking Under 12 Tennis Tournament which is being organized by Deccan Gymkhana and Maha Tennis Under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA and to be played at Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts.
In the girls singles finals 6th standard standard student of New English Medium School Kolhapur Ritika Dawalkar ranked third Got past a fighting Srushti Suryavanshi. 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 to win the title
Ritika Dawalkar then paired with Janvi Chougule to register a 6-3 ,6-3 win over Kavvya Tupe and Pranjali Pandure to claim the doubles title
In the Boys finals top seeded Smit Undre had to struggle before overcoming giant killer Namish Hood 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 to win the singles title
Smit Undre then tied up with his twin brother Varad Undre to secure a 7-6(4),6-3 win over Aarav Patel and Aryan Kirrtane and win the doubles title
The prizes were given away at the hands of Former Davis Cup players Sandip Kirtane and Nitten Kirrtane.
