Purcell in Third Final at PMR Open ATP Challenger 100 Men’s International Tennis Championships

Pune, March 4, 2023: The Australian No.3 seed, Max Purcell, continued his brilliant run on the Indian swing of the ATP challengers having won in Chennai and Bengaluru in the back to back weeks, The Australian No. seed needed just one hour and 12 minutes to beat Serbia’s Miljan Zekic 6-2,6-3 to make it to the finals at the PMR open ATP challenger men’s 100 tennis championship. powered by Aryan Pumps and organized by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Tennis Stadium.
In the final on Sunday Purcell will meet Italian No. 4 seed Luca Nardi, ending the challenge of qualifier Czech Republic’s , Dominik Palan.7-6(7-4),1-6,7-5 in 2hours and 15 minutes.
Anirudh Chandrasekar and N Vijay Sundar Prashanth(IND) win the doubles title.The all-Indian pair of Anirudh Chandrasekar and N Vijay Sundar Prashanth won the doubles title of the tournament beating the fifth seeded Japanese combination of Toshihide Matsui and Kaito Uesugi 6-1, 4-6 [10-3] in an hour and 11 minutes.
Doubles winners got Trophy, $7,590 and 100 APT Points, Runner ups got Trophy, $4,400 and 60 ATP Points
Doubles prizes were given away at the hands of MSLTA President Bharat Oza , Vice Chairman Rajeev Deshpande, Jt Secretary of MSLTA Rajiv Desai, and Sheetal Bhosale , ATP Supervisor Rogerio Santos ,Hon Secretary of MSLTA and Tournament Director Sunder Iyer .The finals of the singles will be played at 2.30pm on Sunday
