Pune, December 4, 2019 :   Tomoko Kato of Japan recorded the biggest upset of the day as she shocked second seeded Vipasha Mehra of India in the girls second round singles , while Arnav Pathange upset fifth seeded Mathias Musil of Czech Republic  to make it to the last eight in the boys singles at the Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Junior Grade 3 U 18 Tennis Championship organized by  Deccan Gymkhana Under the auspices of ITF , Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association and Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Court.

    
In the girls second round unseeded Tomoko Kato of Japan upset second seeded  Vipasha Mehra 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, while Tianmi MI from china upset sixth seeded Salakthip Ounmuang of Thailand 6-2, 7-5; local wildcard  Vaishnavi Adkar knocked out China’s  Qianyu Liu  5-7, 6-3, 6-1 to make the last eight stage of the singles event.

In the boys section Arnav Pathange upset fifth seeded Mathias Musil of Czech Republic 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 , in another upset New Zealand’s   Jack Loutit upset eighth seeded  Daisuke Inagawa  of Japan 7-5, 5-7, 7-5.

In an all India clash Udit Gogoi led  4-6, 6-4, 3-2 before  Sushant Dabas Conceded the match  ,  while Aryaan Bhatia handed over a 6-2 ,6-2 drubbing to Thailand’s  Taentawan Taddeo  Maggioli ,  second seeded  Dev Javia stpped the fine run of qualifier Aditya Balsekar winning  6-2, 6-3
