Chothani in line for double crown at MSLTA – Yonex Sunrise Hotel Ravine All India Ranking Super Series Under 16 Tennis
Panchgani, November 25: Kabir Chothani of Gujrat in line for a double crown reaching the finals of the singles and the doubles event in the boy section at MSLTA – Yonex Sunrise Hotel Ravine All India Ranking Super Series Under 16 Tennis Tournament organized by Ravine Hotel at their tennis courts under the auspices of MSLTA and played at the Ravine Hotel, Panchgani.
In the boys singles semifinals second seeded Kabir Chothani of Gujrat edges out his state met fourth seeded Jevin Kanani 6-1, 7-6(4) , while Advik Natekar outplayed Omkar Shinde 6-1, 7-5 to move into finals. In the doubles semifinals top seed pair Kabir Chothani along with Jevin Kanani of Gujrat outplayed Nachiket Gore and Devendra Kulkarni of Maharashtra 6-0, 6-0 to enter into doubles finals.
In the girls singles semifinals seventh seeded Meghana GD of Karnataka upset second seeded Maharashtra girl Nainika Bendram 6-6(7-2), 6-1, while top seed Maya Rajeshwaran of Tamil Nadu register 6-3, 6-3 win over third seeded Shaivi Dalal of Gujrat to move into finals. In the doubles semifinals top seed pair of Maharashtra Devanshee Prabhudesai and Nanika Reddy make 6-2, 6-1 win over third seeded pair Riddhi Shinde and Meghana GD to enter into doubles finals.
