Chaudhari wins FINIQ – ATT Asian Ranking Womens Championships

 

Pune, May 5: Vaidehi Chaudhari justified the wildcard awarded to her as she emerged winner at the $ 3000 FinIQ – ATT Asian Ranking Womens Tennis Championships organized by Navnath Shete sports Academy, Kothrud in association with MSLTA under the Auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) and Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) which concluded at the Metrocity courts in Kothrud.

 

Chaudhari took 1hour 39 minutes to snub out another youngster and Unseeded Soha Sadiq 6-2, 6-1 to win the inaugural title on the ATT women’s Tour. Ahmedabad’s Vaidehi a student of the Altavol Tennis Academy under coach Jignesh Rawal. she broke in the 3rd and 5th games in the first set and the 1st ,3rd and 7th games in the second set

 

The winner Vaidehi Chaudhari got Rs.31,500/ and 40 points, while runner up Soha Sadiq received Rs.21,000/- and 25points.

 

The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Yogesh Karwa, Account Officer of Finiq, Mr.Sushil Joseph, Sports coordinator Finiq and Mr.Navnath Shete, tournament director. Mr.Pranil Dhanave, Mr.Sudhir Dhawade, member of Metrocity, Vaishali Shekatkar tournament supervisor were present on the occasion.
