Pune, December 5, 2019 : Pune Girl and Wildcard Vaishnavi Adkar came through a thriller to oust Sandeepti Singh Rao and enter the girls singles semifinals of the Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Junior Grade 3 U 18 Tennis Championship organized by  Deccan Gymkhana Under the auspices of ITF , Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association and Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Court.

In a battle lasting 2 hours and 10 minutes the Pune Girl justifies the Wildcard awarded to her  scraping past another Indian Sandeepti Singh Rao6-4, 4-6,  7-6(11-9)

In the same event Japan’s eighth seeded Mei Hasegawa upset third seeded Lanlana Tararudee Of  Thailand 2-6, 7-5, 6-4; to make the last four stage  Tianmi MI of China and top seeded Maria Sholokhova Of Russia also made it to the semifinals

In the boys section  top seeded Thailand’s Patorn Hanchaikul outplayed Udit Gogoi 6-1, 6-2; Second seeded Dev Javia remained the only Indian player in the draw trouncing Arnav Pathange 6-0, 7-6(5); Third seeded Rostislav Galfinger Of kazakhstan struggled before getting past Aryaan Bhatia 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4 while Vitek Horak of Czech Republic. Outplayed Jack Loutit Of New Zealand 6-3, 6-1 to complete the quartet
