Anandi Bhutada and M Shreyanth emerged as champions at the Bombay Gymkhana All India Ranking Super Series Under 16 Tennis Tournament.
Mumbai – The MSLTA – Bombay Gymkhana All India Ranking Super Series Under 16 Tennis Tournament 2023, held under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA, concluded on May 5th, 2023, at the Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai. The tournament, which ran from April 29th to May 5th, saw some of the most promising young tennis players from across India competing for the coveted titles.
In the boys’ singles final, M Shreyanth faced off against Pradyumna Singh Tomar in a nail-biting match. After an intense battle on the court, it was M Shreyanth who emerged victorious, winning the match 6-3, 0-6, 6-2.
In the girls’ singles final, Anandi Bhutada faced off against Devanshee Prabhudesai in another highly competitive match. Despite a valiant effort from Devanshee, Anandi emerged as the victor, winning the match 6-4, 6-3. Anandi’s consistent performance and tactical play throughout the tournament helped her secure the Girls Under 16 Singles title.
In the Boys Doubles category, Pradyumna Singh Tomar and Om Verma teamed up to defeat Neeraj Ringangaonkar and Arjun Kirrtane in a nail-biting match. The final score was 7-6(5), 5-7, 10-6 in favor of Tomar and Verma. The match was filled with intense moments, and the players displayed excellent teamwork and coordination.
The girls’ doubles final saw Serena Rodricks & Hritika Kaple face off against Saiyette Varadkar & Devashree Mahadeshwar. In a dominant display of skill and teamwork, Rodricks & Kaple won the match 6-4, 6-0 to become Girls Doubles Champions.
Overall, the Tournament was a great success, showcasing some of the finest young tennis talents in the country. The players displayed exceptional skills, sportsmanship, and a great competitive spirit, making it a memorable event for all the spectators and participants.
Trophies and certificates were presented to the winner and runner-up. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr. Aga Raza Hussain, President Bombay Gymkhana, Bombay Gymkhana Committee Members Kishen Narsi & Chaitali Sah, Tournament Director Salil Patne & Tournament Supervisor, Vaishali Shekatkar.
