Maharashtra boy Undre , Tamil Nadu girl Numburi emerge winners at Ramesh Desai Memorial under 12 Sub-Junior Tennis Nationals
Mumbai, February 18, 2023: Maharashtra boy Smit Undre and Tamil Nadu girl Shravya Soundarya Numburi both seeded third lifted the singles titles at the 13th edition of the Ramesh Desai Memorial Junior Tennis Nationals for Boys and Girls under 12 which will be hosted by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) at the GA Ranade Tennis complex.6th standard student of The Orbis School Smit in Pune Smit who trains at Intensity Tennis at Academy Kharadi under coach Atul Deodhare and Kapil Kinnari won his First national title Registering a. 6-4,7-5 win over state mate and seventh seeded Rishikesh Mane
In the girls section Trichy girl Shravya Soundarya Numburi rallied past an injured Niesha Enja of Telangana 6-2, 6-0 to win the title and win a coveted double crown at the event. The winner got a trophy and certificates and goodie bags . The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Bharat Oza, President of MSLTA, Mr.Sunder Iyer, Hon Secretary of MSLTA. Mr. Khushrow Shroff and Mr.Amit Shroff, Council members of MSLTA, Mr.Manoj Vaidya, CEO of MSLTA, Tournament Supervisor Vaishali Shekatkar and Sonal Vaidya were present on the occasion.
