MCA beat CCI-A in a thriller & emerge Mumbai Open Interclub tennis Champion for the first time

 

Mumbai Cricket Association outplayed  Cricket Club of India - A 32-21 to lift there first Mumbai Open Interclub tennis Championship title organized by  Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association which concluded at the MSLTA tennis courts.

 

In the 110 + event Doubles new combination of Mr. Govind Kumar and Rahul Narlekar (MCA) put in an excellent performance to register 9-4 win over Dr. P. Malhotra and Luv Kothari (CCI).

 

In the 90+ Doubles Mr. Chetan Desai tie-up with Mr. Intikab Ali (CCI) to outplayed the pair of Mr. Vimal Roy and Mr. Rajesh Nair (MCA) 9-5

 

In the Open Doubles Mr. Aditya Sanghvi and Mr. Akash Kale (MCA) outrallied Mr. Gagan and Mr. Ambrish Arora (CCI) 9-3 while the team of Mr. Karan Singh and Mr. Anand Marthy (MCA) beat Mr. Krishank Shah ans Mr. Vijay Chabaria (CCI). Mumbai Cricket Association

 

The winners of the Mumbai Open Interclub tennis Championship Mumbai Cricket Association received a winners’ purse of Rs 32,000 apart from a specially crafted trophy. The runners up Cricket Club of India – A got Rs. 24,000, Khar Gymkhana finished third received Rs. 16,000 while Cricket Club of India – B finished fourth received Rs. 8,000

 

The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr. Bharat Oza President of MSLTA, Former President of MSLTA and Tournament director of the event Mr. Sharad Kannamwar and CEO of MSLTA Manoj Vaidya.
