Thandi in finals of $25000+ Pune Open ITF women’s championships


Pune, November 10: Karman Kaur Thandi powered her way into the finals at the  $25000+Pune Open  ITF women’s championships organized by NS Sports Academy under the auspices of  AITA , MSLTA and PMDTA and being played the MSLTA School of tennis, Balewadi


In a one sided semifinals third seeded Karman Kaur Thandi out powered Bunyawi Thamchaiwat Of Thailand 6-3, 6-1 in 1 hour and 4 minutes .


In the other semifinals Jaqueline Adina Cristian Romania stopped the progress of  wildcard Zeel Desai 6-4, 6-3. 


Jaqueline Adina Cristian also placed herself in line for a double crown as she partnering Tereza Mihalikova Slovakia won the doubles title scraping past  Pei-Chi Lee Of Taipei and Yana Sizikova Of Russia 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 in 1 hour and 11 minutes 


Doubles winners got $1500, trophy and 50 WTA points and runners ups got $900, trophy and 30 WTA points. The prizes were given away at the hands of Kothrud MLA Prof. Medha, Kulkarni, Tournament Diretor Navnath Shete, Organizing Secretary Pune OpenAshwin Girme, Member of Pune Open Foundation Shivaji Choudhari, Member of Pune Open Foundation Sameer Bhambare and ITF Supervisor Mrs. Sheetal Iyer were present on the occasion.
